Pearl G. Downs of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 30, 1998, at the Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on June 15, 1904, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Gotlieb and Florence (Kinder) Gehring Peters. She married Oren Downs on May 19, 1941, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sisters: Blanche Curl and Mrs. Louis Dalton, both of Bedford, IN, and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Geneva Armstrong; one sister, Betty Jean VanNess; and three brothers: Richard and Opal Gehring and Oscar Peters.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene
Services for Pear Downs will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 2nd, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
