She attended school in Peru, and moved from Peru to Berkeley, Calif., at age 14. She started working at age 17 as a telephone operator in Oakland, Calif., and then was a bookkeeper.
She married John Leslie Arnold March 22, 1936 at Piedmont Community Church in Piedmont, Calif. After the marriage she was a homemaker and they lived in Oakland, San Leandro and Hayward, Calif.
John Arnold died in 1984.
Burnice Arnold moved to Decorah in 1991 where she had her own apartment. She became a resident of Barthell Eastern Star Nursing Home on July 26, 1993. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 73 in Decorah.
