Rosemary Bailey, 84 of Sherman, formerly of Pawnee died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Villa West.

She was born June 6, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of Louis and Agnes Murphy Gatton.

She married George Bailey on January 8, 1949, he preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by one son, James and one brother, Donald.

Rosemary was a registered nurse for St. John's Labor and Delivery for 40 years. She was a member of St. John's Samaritans and belonged to St. John's Retirees and Horizons.

Surviving her are four sons, John (Debbie) of Jacksonville, their children, Courtney and Cailean, twins, Donald (Kris) of Springfield, their children, Andrea and Michelle, Ronald (Debbie) of Sherman, their children, Josh, Jeremy and Jenna, Carroll (Nancy) of Coloma, MI, their children, Kyle and Laura; two daughters, Mary (Stewart) Mitchell of Lincoln, CA and Patti Bailey of Gardnerville, NV; one great-grandson, Brycen; one sister, Joanne Vangeison of Springfield; two brothers Patrick (Barb) Gatton of Lakewood, NJ, Joe (LuAnn ) Gatton of Edwardsville; several nieces and nephews

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Bramley Funeral Home, Divernon. Additional visitation will be 9:30 a.m. till time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee.

Memorials may be made to Carol Jo Vecchie and Children's Miracle Network.
