Barbara A. Barnard 72 years, of Indianapolis, passed away March 26, 2005. She was born April 19, 1932 in Owensboro, KY, to Edward and Mary Evelyn Moore Gatton, who have preceded in death.
Barbara attended St. Mary's Academy and Ohio State University. She was a manager of the collections department for the IRS for 13 years, retiring in 1998.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis & Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Rd., with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Barbara is survived by her husband Harold L. Barnard; sons, Rick Laurienzo, Ed Laurienzo (Vicky), and Bobby Laurienzo; daughters, Debbie Laurienzo and Toni Hagler (Bobby); step-daughter, Barbara A. Rupp (John); stepson, David Barnard (Kimberly); sisters, Wanda Crays and Norma Nichols; seven grandchildren and five step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Francis & Clare Catholic Church.
