LONE OAK — Dorothy D. Murlin, 88, of Greenville, formerly of Lone Oak, died July 30, 2011, in a Dallas hospital. A graveside service is set at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bright Star Cemetery in Wills Point with Pastor Mike Ross officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home in Lone Oak.
Born Sept. 5, 1922, in Wills Point, she was the daughter of N.W. and Susie Craig Gartman. She married William "Bill" Murlin on Oct. 11, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nev.; he preceded her in death in 2001. She was owner and operator of Lone Oak Feed and Hardware for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Gary and Debbie Floyd of Quinlan, Larry Floyd and John and Ona Floyd of Greenville; two sisters, Clara Bond of Springfield, Mo., and Ruby Gartman of California; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, four brothers, one sister and one grandson preceded her in death.
