(Pariseau) Garrigus, 85, of East Street, Dedham, a former area resident, died on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2008 at the Eastwood Nursing Home in Dedham where she had been a resident for the past four years. She was the wife of the late Norman A. "Garry" Garrigus to whom she was married on May 11, 1946 and entered into eternal rest on Jan. 11, 2002.
Born in Central Falls, R.I. on March 2, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Eva (Tetreault) Pariseau. She was a graduate of St. Ann's Academy in Marlboro.
Mrs. Garrigus resided in Dedham since July 2004, having moved to the community from Canterbury Woods on Garfield Avenue in Attleboro where she lived for six months. Prior to moving to Canterbury Woods, Mrs. Garrigus resided in South Attleboro and Sandcastle Estates for 22 years and was a former longtime North Attleboro resident.
She was a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her family. In later years, she was employed as a cook at St. Mary's Convent in North Attleboro and as a secretary and office manager for Dr. Robert Justini and Charles Mason, esquire.

During the 1960s and 1970s, she was a member of numerous local women's organizations.
Her favorite pastimes included playing golf, bowling as part of a bowling league with her late husband, reading and cooking.
She will be remembered with love and fondness for her many hours of volunteer work to numerous organizations and would often go out of her way to assist in scouting programs, school programs, assist neighbors and generally, "do things for others."
The biblical verse from Matthew 25:21 "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" epitomizes her life's mantra.
