DEATH ENDS HER SUFFERING
After years of suffering Mrs. Frank Anderson passed away in death Saturday noon, following a surgical operation performed Thursday, in which she had great faith that it would again, permit her to enjoy life in perfect health. The physician, performing the operation held out but small
hopes that even an operation would avail her nothing, but consented to her desires as the last resort. She recovered from the shock of the operation nicely, but the disease from which she had been suffered had obtained to great a stronghold that nothing could be done to save her life
With full knowledge of what was going on about her she bade her family surrounding her bedside the last farewell. Death relieved her of the sufferings at noon Saturday, the end coming like a peaceful slumber. The funeral services were held in the Christian church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. M. Messer after which the body was returned to her late home to await the arrival of a daughter, Mrs. Will Sears, who was unable to reach here Saturday.
At 10 o'clock Monday morning the remains were taken to the Sargent cemetery where interment was made. The deceased leaves a husband, five daughters, Mrs. Titus Granger, Mrs. Will Sears, Mrs. Arthur Mangelsom, Mrs. J. W. Lundy and Mrs. Howard Wallace, besides grandchildren and a host of friends, to mourn her death. Rebecca Garrett was born in Ohio, November 3, 1844, moved to Lensville, Mo., in 1858, was married to Franklin Anderson, Dec. 23, 1876 at Butler, Bates county Mo., afterwards moving to Taylor, Loup county, Nebraska .
About four years ago with her husband they moved to Sargent at which place her death occurred.
