Mrs. Maretta Jean Garrard, age 56 of Paducah, KY., passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born Monday, December 23, 1957 in Poplar Bluff, MO., she retired from Cape First Church, Cape Girardeau, MO where she served as church secretary. She is a member of River of Grace Fellowship in Benton, KY.
Surviving are her parents, Rev. Roy G. Bennett, wife Lucille (Crabtree) Bennett of Calvert City, KY ., her husband, David Garrard of Paducah, KY., two daughters, Kami Andani, husband Nbangba of Jersey City, NJ and Kara Blanton, husband Johnny Jr. of Murray, KY, brother, Stan Bennett of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren, Tyanna; Katali; Maya; Kasuli (KJ); Jaylon; Jude; Isaiah; Jaden; and Clayton.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Smothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the River of Grace Fellowship Church, 1101 Olive St. Benton, KY.
Pastors Robert Garrard and Chris Garrard will officiate. Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
