BELOVED LADY CALLED HOME

Mrs. Fannie E. Garnett, 62, wife of A.H. Garnett of Decatur, passed away Saturday evening at the residence, 45 Seventh Avenue West, following a long illness.

The funeral cortege will leave the residence at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday for the Central Baptist Church where funeral services will be held at two o'clock by Rev. Ted Brannen and Rev. G.C. Corley. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery, Brown directing.

The deceased is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Barrett and Miss Frances Garnett, both of Decatur; five sons, James N. Garnett and Billy Garnett of Decatur, Howard and Roy Garnett of the U.S. Navy and Grant Garnett of Saluda, South Carolina; one sister, Mrs. Edgar Landers of Hillsboro; two brothers, Sidney Grant of Hillsboro and J.B. Grant of Sheffield; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Elton and Leon Reeves, Knox McRae, J.H. Thompson, Irwin Craig and Arthur Nebrig.

The ladies of the Fidelis Sunday School Class will have charge of flowers. Mrs. Garnett, the former Miss Fannie E. Grant of Courtland, came to Decatur with her husband in 1906 and was an active member of the Central Baptist Church.
