Mrs. Cecelia "Teenie" Gardner Bartlett, 97, sister of the late Clifton Gardner Sr., passed away on Thursday, April 15, 1999, in Williamsburg Center Genesis Elder Care. In her youth, she joined First Baptist Church, and she also attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She leaves to forever cherish her precious memories, her devoted caregiver, Roberta Brown of Williamsburg; her sister-in-law, Lydia Gardner of Williamsburg; her nephews, Clifton Gardner of Gloucester, Dennis Gardner of Williamsburg, and Charles Gardner of Trenton, N.J.; her nieces, Audrey Gardner and Christine Jordan, both of Williamsburg; her five great-nephews, her three great-nieces and her three great-great-nephews. Mrs. Bartlett will also be fondly remembered by the children and grandchildren of Roberta Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Whiting's Chapel with Dr. Thomas Shields officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 12:45 p.m. on Monday. Viewing will be on Sunday in the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Professional services entrusted to the staff of Whiting's Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
