Born Jan. 13, 1945, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Maynard and Mary Delight (Bates) Gardner.
She was a CNA/Caregiver for 40 years and a member of the V.F.W. and Order of the Odd Fellows.
Survivors include four children, Cheryl LaClair and Dean of Wisconsin, Cindy Wade and Lloyd of Bedford, Christy Wininger and Tony and Cammie Barlow, all of Mitchell; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Ford, Matt Johnson, Dusty Johnson, Jessica Ford, Jeanetta Ford, Eric LaClair, Dwayne Barlow, David Barlow and Katie Wininger; one great-grandchild, Braelyn Johnson; and two sisters, Vera Brown and Edith Sinders.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Don Gardner; and two sisters, Ruth Smith and Dottie Guthrie.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Richard Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
