Mrs. Stanley Gardner 1936 Bridgewater Bulletin
Mrs. Stanley Gardner of 21 Kenwood Street, Cambridge, Mass., was buried on Wednesday, after her sudden and tragic death on Sunday, November 15th, at the Cambridge Hospital.
She leaves eleven children, the oldest of whom is twenty and the youngest two weeks old.
Mrs. Gardner was born in Dayspring, Nova Scotia, and was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rodenhizer. She was a school teacher before her marriage, having graduated from the Truro Normal College in 1909-10.
Living in Cambridge many years, she was an active worker in the Central Square Baptist Church, being one of those who "adorn the doctrine of God, their Saviour, in all things."
Mrs. Gardner was a devoted wife and mother and her death leaves a large family bereft; also a mother and father; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Lantz; (Mildred), at home; Mrs. Warren E. Leerell, Waltham, Mass.; two brothers, Boyd, at home; Basil of Waltham.
Her funeral took place from the Central Square Baptist Church with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
