Cristella was survived by her three sons: Ronald (wife Gina) of Alcalde, Travis (wife Ula Marie) of Cebolla, and Jason (wife Sonya) of Cuba; grandchildren: Jude, Shane, Bo, Tracie, Robby, Harley, Payton, and Montana; sisters: Lupe Martinez, Gertude Marker, and Gloria Chacon (Joe); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cristella enjoyed every day to the fullest, most of all she enjoyed the company of her family. She was an avid sports fan and was particularly fond of the Escalante Lobos and Dallas Cowboys. For the greater part of her life she worked outside of the home. She worked at Rio Arriba County Court House, Chama Valley Schools, and Rio Arriba County Senior Center and during the summer at Corkins Lodge. She especially loved crocheting, baking pastelitos, and making jellies for her children and grandchildren.
Public visitation and Rosary were on 18 March 2014 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second Rosary was recited on 19 March 2014 at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla. Mass of Christian burial was on 20 March 2014, also at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla. Burial followed in the Los Ojos Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ronald, Travis, Jason, Jude, Bo and Shane. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren: Tracie, Robby, Harley, Payton, and Montana.
