Mammie Bailey, 62, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. James M. Mims, pastor of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Atlanta, Texas, and lived in Amarillo for many years. She worked for the city of Amarillo and later the Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Arvin; four daughters, April Ballard of Cedar Hill, Charlene Kincade of Jacksonville, and Charles Marie Tiggs and Debra Walker, both of Amarillo; a son, Charley Tiggs of Rochester, N.Y.; two brothers, George Gaither of Amarillo and the Rev. Clevester Gaither of El Cajon, Calif.; and a sister, Wilma Brown of Amarillo.
