GAITHER, MARY ELLEN, 76, a resident of Severn, passed away on April 9, 2013 at her home. Mary was born on September 27, 1936 in Clarendon County, South Carolina and she was an account administrator for the Marriott Corporation. She enjoyed bowling, playing softball, traveling the worlds and volunteering at Our Daily Bread to feed the homeless. Mary was a member of the Holy Trinity Sodality and Treasurer of the Severn Improvement Association. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 47 years, Clifton James Gaither. She is survived by her loving son, Jerome Gaither; her cherished granddaughters, Dan'yelle Gaither and Dallas Henson; her beloved great-granddaughters, Chy'ad Smith, Kylie Henson, and Kaelie Henson; and her dear brothers, Frank and Major Doughty. The family will receive visitors at the family-owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Ave SW, Glen Burnie, on Sunday, April 14, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 15 at 12 noon at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7436 B&A Blvd in Glen Burnie. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
