Born Nov. 5, 1942 in Salem, Mass., she was the daughter of Emile and Louise (Romsavich) Gagne. Being the daughter of a military man, she lived in a variety of locations before settling in Peabody, Mass., for the remainder of her childhood. She then resided in Newmarket, as of 1977.
Gerry was an accountant with United Technologies at the McAllen Company in Newmarket.
Though she loved to cook, camp, and watch her birds in the yard, her most beloved pastime was enjoying the company of her adoring family.
She was a 33-year member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Auxiliary Unit #67, and a member of the F.O.E. Ladies Group.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Stephen E. Duffy Sr. of Newmarket, two children, Stephen J. Trites of Epping and Susan R. Fournier with her husband James of Exeter, one granddaughter, Ashleigh V. Fournier of Exeter, and a number of cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket, N.H.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket.
