Martha D. Dittman, 80, of South Bend, IN passed away at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Hospice House, South Bend. She was born on August 13, 1931 to Earl and Donna (Moore) Funkhouser. On June 10, 1950, she married Clinton Dittman, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1999.
Mrs. Dittman is survived by her daughter, Hope (Greg) Widner of South Bend, IN; son, Timothy (Connie) Dittman; four grandchildren, Lanny (Dawn) Kistler, Emily (Matt) Spaulding, Ryan Rentfrow and Chanda Watson; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lois (Jerry) Lewis of Mishawaka, IN and Joan (David) Whiteman of Elkhart, IN and two brothers, Phillip (Judy) Funkhouser of Osceola, IN and Robert "Bobby" Funkhouser of Elkhart, IN. A sister, Willodean Olson and four brothers, James, Roy, Thomas and Timothy Funkhouser preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dittman retired after thirty years of service from Conn-Selmer where she worked in solder production. She was a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship Church in Mishawaka, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
