Martha Ann was the daughter of Lenox Fullerton and Nancy Jane (Groom). She was killed as a young child during a brush clearing accident at her families farm. She died from the burns she suffered in the accident. Her death was a great family tragedy.

She is buried with her parents, grandparents, and other various relatives. She shares a headstone with her brother Frances Marion who died in infancy.
