She married Edward J. Buck in Mobile County in August 1923 (Marriage Book 54, p.68, license dated 8/14) and honeymooned in Asheville, N.C. (Montgomery Advertiser, Aug. 26, 1923, p.19.) Mobile Marriage Index lists her name as Armitta Levon Fulford. Her son's obituary says Armitta Louise.
She was the daughter of James William Fulford and Henrietta Childress Fulford.
She was the granddaughter of John Childress and Eliza Rosette (Nelson) Childress, and the great-granddaughter of Elisha Nelson and Eliza Jane (Fulford) Nelson.

HASLETT, WINONA BEATRICE, 96, of 10801 Cherokee Drive N, St. Petersburg, died Friday (March 17, 1989) at her residence. She was born in Gulf Shores, Ala., and came here in 1953 from Pittsburgh. She was a Baptist. Survivors include four sisters, Susie Burgess, Gulf Shores, Armitta Buck, Mobile, Ala., Eileen Smith, Metairie, La., and Roberta Norwood, Gretna, La.; and a niece, Helen Korb, Nokomis. E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole.
Mobile Register, April 24, 1997: "Armitta Fulford Buck, a native of Baldwin County and resident of Mobile County, died Tuesday. She was 92. She is survived by a son, Merton E. Buck Sr.; two sisters, Roberta Norwood of Gulf Shores and Eileen Smith of New Orleans; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A private service will be held. Radney Funeral Home handled arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church."
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vera King and Eleanor Lavon Buck Kamphuis.
Eleanor Lavon Buck married JACOB VAN KAMPHUIS (8 Feb 1922-27 June 1988) in Mobile, Ala. (marriage license dated 3-1-1944, Marriage Book 73 p.133), and died before 2010.
