Florence was known as Kate, she one of 10 children born to James and Fanny. Her father was a fruiterer & florist with a shop in Duke's St, Chelmsford, Essex, her brother Percy took over the business after their father died.

Kate was widowed when Arthur died of pulmonary tuberculosis at the age of 50, in 1924. The 1939 England and Wales Register states that Kate and her daughter, Edna, a typist, were living at 40, The Mount, Coventry, Warwickshire.
Kate died from pneumonia, aged about 70.
Laid to rest on the 29th December.
Her brother, Percy Fulcher, of Chelmsford, Essex, died aged 75, two days after Kate.
