Kiyoko Shibata Fulcher, 68, of Clifton died Wednesday, Sept 11, 1996, at the Hospice of Northern Virginia, Arlington. She was born in Japan. She was a renowned Japanese water color artist who exhibited her work at numerous art exhibits in the Washington DC area. She received many awards for her work and was a member of the art guilds in the metropolitan area. She is survived by her husband, Charles R Fulcher of the home; a daughter, Patricia Carolynn Fulcher-Henshaw of Fair Oaks; a son, Richard kenneth Fulcher of Manassas; two brothers, Takayuki Shibata and Kenza Shibata, both of Japan; a sister, Hiroko Dajnaga of Japan; and three grandsons.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 pm at the Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St, Manassas, where services will be held Saturday at 11 am with Dr Rodney F Aultry officiating. Burial will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Virginia, 6400 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, in memory of Kiyoko Shibata Fulcher.
