Funeral services for Geraldine Frye Cottrell will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry O'Dell. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. today, Dec. 17, 2010 at Rose-Neath.
Geraldine was born Jan. 20, 1935 in Gilgal and entered into rest Dec. 16, 2010 in Shreveport. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Minden and the P.E.O. Club.
Her husband, J. C. Cottrell and parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Frye preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, James K. Cottrell and wife, Stephanie of Gretna; granddaughters, Kristen Suzanne Cottrell of San Antonio, Texas and Mollie Katherine Cottrell of Keller, Texas; grandson, James Christopher Cottrell of Shreveport; sisters, Jo Rogers of Minden and Jean Mitchell and husband, Edgar of Winnsboro; brother, Rex Frye and wife, Anita of Minden; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston.
