Romaine E. "Tot" (Fry) Eichelberger, 93, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Manor Care Health Services Dallastown. She was the wife of the late David Elmer Eichelberger to whom she had been married for 48 years at the time of his passing on March 13, 1984.

Mrs. Eichelberger was born September 28, 1918, in York and was the daughter of the late Russell L. and Leah A. (Newcomer) Fry.

She had worked at ACCO for 15 years and then was the former co-owner/ operator for 23 years of Dave's Restaurant located at 240 York St.

Mrs. Eichelberger is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Shelley Drescher of York; two grandsons, Mark Shelley and wife, Sharon and Mike Shelley and wife, Micki; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Rachel, Mark, Grace and Mike Shelley. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Sue Shelley; four brothers, Nevin, Russell, Allen and Richard Fry; and two sisters, Pauline Rohrbaugh and Dorothy Harris.


Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Danielle E. Neff, pastor of Mt. Zion UCC, officiating.

Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.
