Mr. Froemming was born April 23, 1896, at Mason City, Ia., and was 51 years of age at the time of his death. He came with his parents to Ida township, Douglas county, when two years old, and at the age of six years he moved to Alexandria, where he made is home since. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church since childhood, was confirmed in 1914 and was a veteran of World War I, having served for a little over a year, including some overseas duty. On April 19, 1918, he was married to Olga Schumacher at Glenwood, who survives him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, DiAnn, and four sons, Leighton and ElRoy at home and Warren and Wallace, both of Minneapolis. Two sons preceded him in death, one in infancy and another four years of age. He also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Paulus, Mrs. Ed Drussell and Mrs. Alga Schramm, and his aged mother, Mrs. Marie Froemming.
