Helen R. Bieck, 90, of Falls City, NE, passed away January 24, 2014 at Falls City. She was born March 19, 1923 at Verdon, NE to the late Walter and Lena (Harring) Fritz.


On October 6, 1946 she married Ivan H. Bieck at Falls City. He passed away April 21, 1999.


Helen was raised in the Verdon and Falls City areas, graduating from Falls City High School. She became employed at the Bus Depot as a Waitress. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She was a homemaker and also was employed at Ketter Manor Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20th and Towle St. at Falls City.


Helen is survived by her daughter, Chris Linden-Ridnour and her husband Dennis Ridnour of LaVista, NE, sisters, Dorothy Werner and her husband Richard of Falls City and Ethel Strough of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Gary Linden, brothers, Harold and Ray Fritz and a sister, Norma Fritz.


A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th & Towle) with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery.
