Born April 11, 1901, in Owen County, she was the daughter of Melvin and Orpha (Daniels) Porter.
She was a homemaker and a member of White River Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Freeman of Ellettsville; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Freeman, in 1984; one daughter, Esther Perry; one sister, Thursia Thacker; one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with Edward Fewell officiating. Burial will be at Gross Cemetery.
