A native of Wayne County, Ga. and a son to the late Gus Freeman and Leona Wilson Freeman; also preceded in death by his sisters, Lorie Scruggs and Mary Frances Mariett , his brothers, Wilbur Freeman and Herbert Freeman.
He was a deacon and usher at the First Baptist Church and a member of the Victory-Keystone Sunday School Class.

A U.S.ARMY Veteran of World War 2, a charter member of the Civitan Club and was honored as 1969-70 Civitan of the Year.
