Mrs Anna Maria Freeland died at the home of her daughter in Partridge, Kansas, on March 2, 1918. She and Mr. Freeland had returned there from Excelsior Springs where they had gone three weeks ago. Mrs
Freeland was suffering from cancer of the liver and medical treatment could not help her. She had been sick for four month. Her body was brought here for burial and the funeral was held at the Presbyterian church. She was 76 years of age.
Anna Maria Johnson was born in Hancock Co. Ill. Oct. 7, 1841. She was married to Francis P. Freeland, April 6, 1865 in McDonough county, Ill. They moved to Missouri in 1866and to Appanoose county , Iowa in 1868 where they lived until 1886 when they moved to Wichita County where the have since made their home. They lived on a ranch for a few years and then moved to Leoti. Mrs Freeland united with the Christian church here in 1890.
The deceased is survived by a husband and six children together with their families. Their friends and neighbors extend to them their sympathy.
