Thelma Frasure Bloxham passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello surrounded by her loving family.

Thelma was born December 2, 1926 in Greenup County, Kentucky, the ninth of ten children born to Bert T. Frasure and Mindy (Hamilton) Frasure. At the age of ten she moved with her family to Idaho where they homesteaded in the Tyhee/Fort Hall area.

At the age of 18 she moved to California with a childhood friend. While there she met and married Jimmy Green. The marriage lasted two years and her eldest daughter Carolyn was born. She moved back to Pocatello and later married George I. Bloxham to which three children were born: a daughter Renee and sons Ivan and Kevin. The family resided in the Chubbuck area until 1966 at which time they purchased property and moved their home to Tyhee. In 1970, George passed away and Thelma continued to live and maintain her home and 8 ½ acres impeccably. In 1977, she met and married Vernon Brumfield. They were married for eleven years. Although, the marriage ended in divorce, they remained close friends until Vernon’s death in 2004. In 1989 she moved back to her Tyhee home where she lived until 2000. At that time, she sold her beloved Tyhee home and moved to a smaller residence in Chubbuck where she resided until declining health in 2015 required her to move to an assisted living center.

Thelma enjoyed working. Early in her life she worked as a waitress at the railroad depot and was a bookkeeper for many years at a Chubbuck parts and service company. She retired from Simplot's Aberdeen processing plant in 1989. At the age of 62 she obtained her CNA certification and worked as a home health aide until the age of 75 years old.

Thelma is survived by her children Carolyn Chidester, Chubbuck; Renee (Ross) Richardson, Blackfoot; Ivan (Sharon) Bloxham, Chubbuck; and Kevin (John) Bloxham, St. George, UT; five grandchildren: Jamie Oleson, Jessie Steadman, Colt Bloxham, Cody Bloxham, and Kathy Riggs; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Stella Frasure, Ernest Frasure, Bill Frasure, Evan Frasure, Anthony Frasure, Rhoda Villanueva, Elizabeth Robinson, Ethel Cates, Zella Ricks, a grandson Jake Bloxham, and a great-grandson Dustin Sorensen.

Funeral services for Thelma will be held at 11:00am, Friday, May 13, 2016 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. A viewing will be held 6-8:00pm, Thursday evening and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The interment will follow the services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
