Services Conducted for Mrs. Franklin
Funeral services for Mrs. Jeff Franklin, about 71, who died early Saturday evening after a lengthy illness, were held from Midway Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. R B Hicks officiated at the last rites.
Interment was in Midway cemetery, with Pryor Funeral Home of Calhoun City in charge.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin moved to Houston two months ago from Columbus, Miss., to make their home. She was a sister of Mr. G E Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin had bought a home near her brother.
She leaves her brother, and a half sister, Mrs. Amer Neal. Names of her children were not available.

Services at Midway for Mrs. Franklin
Funeral services for Mrs. T J Franklin, who fell and broke her hip last April 10, and who had been confined to bed ever since, were conducted from the Midway Church Sunday, May 10. She was 69 years of age.
She leaves her husband, T J Franklin of Houston; a son, T J, Jr., of Indianola, Miss.; three daughters, Mrs. Vardaman Inman of Vardaman; Mrs. Max Caviness of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Rance Wright of Wyandotte, Mich.; a brother, G E Hamilton of Houston, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Stella Neal of Greenville, Miss., a half brother, John D Hamilton of Memphis, Tenn., and two half sisters, Mrs. Amer Neal and Mrs. Hosea Griffin of Houston, Miss. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
