Katherine Amen
Katherine Amen, 91, 2757 24th St., Greeley, died Wednesday at a Greeley nursing home.
The daughter of Henry and Mary Katherine Frank, she was born April 27, 1893, in Denhof, Russia. She married Jacob C. Amen in 1923 in Loveland. He died in 1950.
She came to Loveland from Russia in 1907 and moved from Loveland to Mead in 1936. Mrs. Amen moved to Longmont in 1953 and then to Greeley in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. She was homemaker.
Amen was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Edward Amen, one brother and four sisters.
She is survived by four sons, Jake of Mead, Arthur of Greeley, Victor of Aurora and Robert and William, both of Longmont; three daughters, Kay Taylor of Carlsbad, Calif., Esther Schmidt of Greeley and Alma Cox of Traverse City, Mich.; three brothers, Carl Frank of Longmont, John Frank of California and Jacob Frank of Loveland; one sister, Katie Miller of Denver; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Hunters' Garden Chapel. Interment is at the Loveland Burial Park. The casket will be closed at the services. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
