Mrs. Emma E. Creager, 78 of 29 N, Church St., widow of James M. Creager, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the Quincy United Methodist Home, where she had been a guest for the past week. Mrs. Creager had been in failing health since August and was confined to the Waynesboro Hospital during the month of April.

She was born at Cascade August 27, 1989, a daughter of the late Aquilla and Emma K. Moser Fox. She lived her early life in Cascade.

Following their marriage in October 1918, she and her husband made their home in Ringgold until his death in April 1962.

For the past 16 years, Mrs. Creager had lived in Waynesboro.

She was a member of the First Brethren Church and the Philethea Bible Class of the church Sunday School. Mrs. Creager was also a member of the auxiliary of the Ringgold Ruritan Club.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Kenneth Heefner, Waynesboro, a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Annie Pryor, a guest at the Williamsport Nursing Home and a brother Joseph J. Fox, Ellicot City, Md.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charger of the Rev. Robert Crees. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
