Kenneth Fowler, longtime Cushing resident and businessman, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at his home at the age of 72 years.
The son of the late Clarence Fowler and Deloris Hicks Fowler, Kenneth was born on July 29, 1944 in Refugio, Texas. He came to Oklahoma with his parents and family as a small child, and was raised and educated in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School. He then attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University with an accounting Degree.
Kenneth owned and operated an accounting office in Cushing for several years prior to his retirement in 2004.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and for many years was the church organist. He enjoyed music and working in his garden.
Survivors include one sister, Annette Phillips and her husband Lindsay of Oklahoma City; two aunts, Wanda Shores and Joye Hicks; one uncle Merl Hicks and his wife Marie; one niece Amber Lindell; one nephew, Dusty Phillips; several very special cousins and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Morning Star United Methodist Church in Hough, Oklahoma with Pastor Max Whipple, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elm Hurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma.
