An obituary published in the Shelbyville Democrat on May 25, 1933 for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fisher, states she had died at her home in Shelbyville on Sunday [May 21, 1933]. Mrs. Fisher was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Fouke and was born at Mount Morris, Illinois, April 16, 1848. She had lived in Shelbyville for seventy years. She married George H. Fisher on March 6, 1873 and to them was born an only daughter Lois. Besides the daughter Lois, G. W. Cook, H. E. Cook, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warner were the only relatives in Shelbyville. Funeral services were conducted at the family home, Rev. A. P. Jordan officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
