Charles Preston Fouke Jr., 71, of 19835 Bennie Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, at his home.
Born Feb. 18, 1925, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Mae B. Davis Fouke Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Forsyth Fouke, in 1991.
He retired from Conrail Railroad after 43 years of service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
He also was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
He is survived by one daughter, Ola Vee Jones of Hagerstown; two sons, Charles P. Fouke III of Eldersburg, Md., and Jay A. Fouke of Bluffton, S.C.; one sister, Mary Virginia Harman of Hagerstown; three brothers, John R. Fouke, Richard E. Fouke and Nevin L. Fouke, all of Hagerstown; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Martin Rudolph will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
