MARKLEVILLE, Apr. 5 (Spl) --- Frank Forte, Jr., 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Forte Sr., two and a half miles north of here, and a companion were killed in a plane crash near the Hendricks-Putnam county line at 8:30 a. m. today.
The body was taken to the Charles Rector funeral home, Greencastle, and tonight was removed to the Valorous C. Rector mortuary here, where friends may call and where final rites will be held at 2 p. m. Friday,with the Rev. O. F. Kent of Lynn officiating. Interment willbe in Grove Lawn cemetery, Pendleton.
Mr. Forte was employed by the Arnold Laboratories, a veterinary medicine firm in New Castle, where he was a maintenance man.
Other survivors include two children, Caroline Ann,6, and Malinda Kay, 2, who reside with their mother in Markleville; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Ebbert and Mrs. Marian Eberhart, both of Markleville; a brother, Alonzo Lewis Forte, at home; several aunts and uncles and a great-aunt, Mrs. Martha Stottlemyer, Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Forte attended local schools. He was well known as a "hot rod" race driver.
