AUSTIN--Barbara Forester, 76, of 205 West 57th Street, New York City, died peacefully at her home on May 26, 2011 after an extended illness.
Daughter of Helen Foss Forester and Henry William Forester, now deceased, she will be missed by her brother, Sturtevant Hobbs of Westwood, MA; by three generations of nieces and nephews; and by her cat, Mr. Darcy.
Elegant and colorful, she was a voracious reader and conversationalist, but her passion was music. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Young Concert Artists, and lived across the street from Carnegie Hall.
