Alexander Forbes
Funeral services were held yesterday at the Anderson chapel for Alexander Forbes, 51 and native of Scotland, who died Monday night at his home near Dee. Rev. J. D. Woodfin, pastor of Odell Methodist church, officiated. Interment followed at Idlewilde cemetery.
Mr. Forbes is survived by his widow and a daughter.

Obituary
Alexander Forbes
During the morning of July 13, 1926, the soul of Alexander Forbes was separated from its earthly tenement and departed to its eternal home with God. While it was known for some time by his family and immediate friends that his life would be short, nevertheless the end came as a distinct shock to them.
Mr. Forbes was born in Aberdeen Shire, Scotland, May 28, 1875. He received his education in Scotland. He was always a student and a great reader. Early in life he joined the Presbyterian church in Scotland. His was a simple faith, a man absolutely honest in all his dealings. Of a modest, unassuming nature, he was loved best by those who knew him best, ready and willing to extend a helping hand to any in distress. In his home a helpful, loving husband and father, counting fellowship with his family his chief earthly joy.
Mr. Forbes came to America in 1893 and settled in Missouri, where most of his life was spent. He was a prosperous farmer and a successful stock raiser. He was married at Marysville, Mo., to Miss Harriet Murray, June 28, 1911. To this union five children were born, Esther, Elsie, Robert, Margaret and Stanley, who are left with the widow to mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father.
