Miss Edith Emily Forbes, eldest daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. O. Forbes, who died Thursday after a brief illness, was a bright and promising young girl. She was born in Portland in 1884. She was just completing her third year in the Portland Academy, which she had attended since childhood. Aside from school work, she had pursued a musical course and had acquired considerable proficiency. She was a member of the Forbes Presbyterian Church, which she had joined at her own request when 7 years of age. The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, 190 Russell street, Albina. Dr. Wilson, principal of the Portland Academy, will conduct the services. The music will be in charge of Professor Coursen.
