Barbara Horlacher Follweiler passed away quietly on August 17, 2007 in Port St. Lucie, FL at the age of 82. She was born in Allentown, PA. She was married for 64 years to John D. Follweiler Sr. Barbara known to friends and family as "Babs" worked in the Allentown School District before retiring and moving to Florida.

During her retirement years she adored being a volunteer at Floresta and Jensen Beach Elementary Schools.

Babs gave generously of her time as a Pink Lady at Port St. Lucie Medical Center, The Mustard Seed and the Salvation Army.

She attended The First Congregational Church of Port St. Lucie.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and loving nature which made her the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. With her "sixth sense" she was always there to lend a helping hand.

In her own quiet way she led a true Christian life and she will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Babs is survived by her husband John, beloved sister Joyce H. Wenck, two sons, Robert D. Follweiler and his wife Paula, John D. Follweiler Jr. and his wife Kathy, and daughter Barbara F. Henning and her husband Rick. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Dana, Alyssa, Hannah, Emily, Jennifer, Allen and by three great-grandchildren Cade, Claire and Max.

Her burial will be private and donations may be made to charity of your choice.
