Mrs. Lola Flynn Allgood, 94, resident of Durham, died Sunday morning in Northwood Manor Convalescent Center, following declining health. She was born in Yadkin County and had been a resident of Winston-Salem until she moved to Durham in 1942. She was the wife of the late Thomas Isaac Allgood.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty A. Tillman and Mrs. Vernell A. Pittman, both of Durham; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Brown and Mrs. Gladys Lakey, both of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Pauline Ashby, of Elizabeth City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park by Rev. Carl Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 at Clements Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Vernell A. Pittman, of 2109 Pleasant Green Road
