Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty A. Tillman and Mrs. Vernell A. Pittman, both of Durham; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Brown and Mrs. Gladys Lakey, both of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Pauline Ashby, of Elizabeth City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park by Rev. Carl Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 at Clements Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Vernell A. Pittman, of 2109 Pleasant Green Road
