Mary E. (Flynn) Collins, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Taunton, daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Kevican) Flynn, she was a 1937 graduate of Taunton High School. In Taunton, Mary worked for the Boy Scouts of America where she met her husband Tim and together they moved to the Western MA are where they have lived for many years, spending the past 30 in Ludlow. Mary was a devoted communicant of St. Cecilia Parish in Wilbraham and a former member for 20 years of the Catholic Women’s Club in Agawam. She also worked for the former Charles Martin Engineering Co.; but her greatest legacy was being a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Mary was the beloved wife of 66 years to Timothy M. Collins; a loving mother to Timothy Collins, Jr, of Falls Church, VA; and Terry Collins and wife Anne, of Clifton, VA; a devoted grandma to Patrick and Meghan Collins; a dear sister to Joan Lynds, of Taunton, and the late Kathleen Flynn, Dorothy Ronahan, and Elizabeth Ridley; a cherished aunt several nieces and nephews including Patricia Charbonneau; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting Hours for Mary are on Wednesday, April 27th from 6:00-8:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Family and friends may then gather for funeral services on Thursday, April 28th directly at Christ the King Church at 9:00am for Liturgy of Christian Burial followed by committal services at 11:00am in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
