Gary "Flip" Flippin, 66, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Jaybird Cemetery, 158 Union St., Springtown, 76082. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Gary was born Feb. 3, 1947, in Hutchison, Kan., to Raymond and Opal Flippin. He was a proud member of VFW Post 4746, located in Weatherford. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Flippin. Survivors: Loving wife of 30 years, Eloise Flippin; children, Gary Leon Elliot Jr. and Teresa Michelle Roberts; 11 grandchildren; mother, Opal Flippin; brother, Jimmy Flippin; sister, Patsy Holbrook; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
