He attended the Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH, and received his Bachelor of Science degree Civil Engineering in 1948 from Lehigh University. He was a Navigator on the B-24s in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the China-Burma-India Theater during WW II. He was the retired former President and Treasurer of the H.E. Fletcher Company in Westford, MA. A family-owned business founded in 1881.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine (Garstka Cusson) Fletcher; children, Polly Fletcher, Edie Flynn, Hobie Fletcher, and Libby Morissett and her husband, Alen Morissette; grandchildren, Meghan Michaud, Virginia Lang, Elizabeth Riccitelli, and Jessica Morissette.
