Mrs. Helen Marie Flemming Knight, 66, of Woodbine, died Monday, March 6, at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore. She was the wife of Everett Junior Knight who died Jan. 12, 2000.
Born Aug. 31, 1933, in Woodbine, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Belle Pickett Fleming.
Mrs. Knight was a homemaker.
She was a member of Morgan Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught Bible and Sunday school.
She also enjoyed gardening, baking and canning.
Surviving are one daughter, Doreen Troia of Westminster; one son, Dwight Knight and wife Joan of Hanover, Pa.; one brother, Howard Fleming of Woodbine; three sisters, Mary Louise Rudy of Arizona, Betty Lou Conrad of Linwood, and Cordelia Mullinix of Georgia; one granddaughter, Laura Troia; four stepgrandchildren, John, Laura, Amanda, and Melissa Matson; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Christian and Katie Matson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Sheaffer of Bethel Assembly of God, and the Rev. Leander Anske Jr., of Morgan Chapel United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
