Mrs. Mary Flees, 80, passed away Thursday afternoon at Boardman Valley Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Flees was born Nov. 8, 1871, in Milwaukee and when eight years old came to Michigan with her parents, settling in Leelanau county, and for the past 32 years, has lived in Traverse City. Mr. Flees and one daughter proceeded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Andrew and Adam, of Traverse City, and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Send of this city and Mrs. Marie Bugai of Muskegon, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John Sponek of Everett, Washington and Mrs. John Ginter of Harbor Beach, Michigan, and two brothers, Adam Dezelski of Maple City and Jake Dezelski of Cedar. The body was removed to the Weaver-Reynolds funeral home where the Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 8:15 and funeral services will be held Monday morning at Immaculate Conception church at 9:00 a.m. with burial in the Catholic cemetery at Oakwood.
