Mrs. Rachel M. Dowell Fitzpatrick expired October 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1142 Rosa L. Parks Avenue with Rev. C.B. Croskery Pastor and Pastor John F. Gilchrist, Jr. , officiating. Interment in Brassell Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories and legacy, eight children; Willie J. (Linda) Fitzpatrick, Mary Ann McQueen, Robert L. Fitzpatrick, Betty Ann (Fletcher L.) Barnes, Marie Diann (Minister Robert) Reed, Melvin J. Fitzpatrick, Patricia Ann Fitzpatrick, and Kelvin G. (Ruthie) Fitzpatrick; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, James (Mary) McDowell; four sisters, Annie Carter, Rosie Lee (Charlie) Harris, Frances Booker, and Thelma Minor; one sister-in-law, Lonnie Mae Fitzpatrick; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; devoted neighbors; The McCarters; and a special caregiver, Veronica Stanton.
