She was born in Resaca, Georgia to the late Bertha and Baxter Fite. She was educated at Berry High School in Rome, Georgia and spent most of her life living in Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years Vinton and her older brother Barry Wilson Fite.
She is survived by her other siblings: Baxter Fite, Hortense Drummond, Melba Gray and Bill Fite. Her devoted family includes daughter and son-in-law Linda and Steve Wells, son and daughter-in-law Carlton and Joan Carver; grandchildren, Kim Wells (Todd) Bussey, Lenue Wells (Harper) Sneed, Cara Carver (Jason) Barron, Randall S. Carver; great grandchildren, Carver and Mary Ella Bussey, Hunter and Fisher Sneed, and Alice and Lucy Barron, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eloise lived her life to the fullest, enjoying first the adventurous life of a Navy wife and later starting the Buckhead Lenox Office Supply Company with her husband Vinton.
Her family will receive friends at Patterson's Spring Hill Thursday evening, July 8 from 6 until 8 o'clock. Graveside service will be Friday morning, July 9 at 10 o'clock at Arlington Memorial Park.
