Mrs. Brodbent was for many years a prominent and greatly beloved teacher in the public schools of this city, and her death, which occurred in August, 1900, was the occasion of deep regret in a large circle of warm friends. She was a woman of fine literary talent, and one of the productions from her pen which created widespread interest was a magazine article on the Pastores of Mexico, being a description of the Mexican Passion Play. To Mr. and Mrs. Brodbent were born these children: Simona, Adelaide, Josie, Charles, Foster, Smith and Cordelia. Foster died in infancy.
