Lucy Fisher Chandler age 87 of Waynesville passed away Saturday, March 03, 2007 at the Brian Center Nursing Home. She was born December 4, 1919 in Jackson County to the Late Thomas and Amanda Shuler Fisher. Lucy enjoyed Trout fishing and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Starlie Chandler and a grandson Alan Smathers.
She is survived by her three sons Starlie R. and his wife Inez L Chandler of Waynesville, Jimmy Lee and his wife Margaret H. Chandler of Lexington, GA, and Billy Mack and his wife Rebecca E. Chandler of Bethel; two daughters Nancy C. and her husband Bill Smathers of Clyde, and Betty C. and her husband Marion Stamey of Canton; one sister Lois Henry of Jackson County; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Tuesday at the Chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park
